Orange County Power Authority Seeks Input for Future Programs

Community feedback will help inform new short- and long-term programs that save customers energy and money

IRVINE, Calif. (February 27, 2025) – Orange County Power Authority (OCPA) – a community energy provider – is asking for customers to share what matters most to them when it comes to energy and their surrounding environment. The input received will help shape the future of the community programs offered by OCPA for years to come. Dubbed the agency’s Community Power Plan, this strategic launch strategy will ensure that new programs meet the specific needs of member communities while achieving the goal of promoting sustainability, energy independence, and cost savings for OCPA customers.

“As a not-for-profit energy provider, Orange County Power Authority is committed to understanding our community members’ needs,” said Joe Mosca, CEO. “The Community Power Plan allows us to gather insights as they relate to energy and the environment, ensuring our program investments align with the specific priorities of our member communities.”

To kick off the Community Power Plan, OCPA has designed a brief customer survey, available in Arabic, Chinese, English, Farsi, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Tagalog and Vietnamese, at www.ocpower.org/future-programs. Survey respondents will have the opportunity to enter into a drawing for one of two $250 dollar gift cards.

OCPA will also be seeking input at community events and workshops. To stay up-to-date on in-person happenings, sign up for OCPA’s newsletter at ocpower.org.
