Energy Programs

Orange County Power Authority (OCPA) offers a number of energy programs for its customers. As a Community Choice Aggregation (CCA), we provide cleaner power at competitive rates while also reinvesting revenue back into local energy programs for the benefit of OCPA customers to ensure a healthier, more sustainable Orange County.

Solar/Net Energy Metering (NEM)

If you already have solar installed or you are considering having solar installed at your home or business, you’ll be interested in learning how our Net Energy Metering Program can work for you. At the end of the annual billing period, if your system has generated more power than you have used, you are eligible to receive a credit (a.k.a. Net Surplus Compensation (NSC)) from OCPA. Our net surplus compensation rate is 10% more than SCE’s prevailing NSC rate.

Bill & Payment Assistance

OCPA customers have access to many of the bill and payment assistance programs as SCE customers. Rate relief provided through the California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE), Family Electric Rate Assistance (FERA), Arrearage Management Plan (AMP), Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) or Medical Baseline programs also apply to OCPA customers.

Community Grants

One benefit of being a community energy program is our ability to reinvest in the communities we serve. OCPA provides various grant funding opportunities aimed at supporting local nonprofits, schools and educators in their efforts to educate communities on the benefits of renewable energy and Community Choice Aggregation.

Offers & Rebates

As an OCPA customer, you have access to unique rebates and offers tailored for our customers, in addition to our online marketplace, where you can learn about incentives for customers to obtain smart home devices and energy efficient products.
