OCPA Celebrates One Year Anniversary of Providing Municipal and Commercial Service

This month marks the one-year anniversary of the launch of commercial and municipal service.

Our member cities – Buena Park, Fullerton, Huntington Beach and Irvine – are leading the charge, choosing to invest in renewable energy to power their city facilities and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. And businesses are following their lead. With an 86% commercial participation rate, Orange County businesses and municipalities are purchasing 1.4 million megawatts per hour of renewable energy – that’s a significantly reduced carbon footprint!

On behalf of the Orange County Power Authority and the generations of residents who will benefit from a healthier environment, we thank you for making the decision to invest in a brighter, cleaner tomorrow by participating in community choice energy.
